LED lights that we use at shows December 15 2014

We get a lot of questions about the LED lights that we use on our tables at shows. They are from Ikea, like our tea light candles. There are several versions of the DIODER lights, this is the one we use. They also have have a set that changes colors. You can control the color settings. They are very striking with our candle covers.

Both use very little power, which is great for our battery/inverter power setup when we don't have electricity.  Another big bonus is they generate very little heat. So if you can't use candles with our candle covers, these are a great option. We used them at a display for over nine months without any issues.

How Heidy Cuts Glass October 03 2014

Many people ask us about how Heidy cuts glass. The answer is a wet saw with a special diamond blade that we get from in North Carolina. Through the magic of YouTube, Bob of HisGlassworks has a very good YouTube channel demonstrating different glass working tools and techniques. Here is one of his videos demonstrating a MK Diamond 10 inch saw cutting glass. We use the same type of saw.

Their site also has one the most interesting About Us pages you'll find on the web.

The Yellow School Bus September 17 2014

Meeting people at shows is one of perks of this adventure. We met artists Jim Bob and Candice Salazar in Kerrville this year. Jim Bob is a former art professor at Sul Ross State University who makes beautiful ceramic pots. With his wife Candice and their two small children, they are living their own unique adventure on 16 acres in Gonzales county, TX.

Their home really caught my attention, a 1989 yellow school bus! Check out their blog and his Etsy shop.
